Taiwanese electric bus manufacturer Tron Energy has achieved another success in its overseas expansion! Four “Made in Taiwan (MIT)” low-floor electric buses, independently developed and manufactured by Tron Energy, have arrived in Palau. The official delivery was witnessed by Lin Chia-lung, Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ROC and Palauan President Huy Shu-jen on the eve of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF), marking a new milestone in Taiwan-Palau green energy transformation cooperation.
Palau is actively promoting sustainable development, aiming to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2032. President Huy Shu-jen visited Tron Energy during his visit to Taiwan in 2025 and highly praised its green energy technology. The Tron Energy electric buses imported this time will be integrated with the Palauan Central Government Building’s solar photovoltaic energy storage system, directly utilizing local sunlight for charging, realizing a zero-carbon green energy cycle integrating “solar power generation, energy storage, and green transportation.”
Richard Huang, Chairman of Tron Energy, stated that the electric buses exported to Palau are equipped with a proprietary liquid-cooled battery system, a T-Box smart vehicle system, and a cloud management system, boasting extremely high safety and reliability, and perfectly adaptable to the tropical island climate.
In recent years, Tron Energy has actively entered overseas markets, gaining international recognition for its core technologies. In addition to the Southeast Asian market, it successfully exported electric buses to friendly Caribbean nations this May, demonstrating Taiwan’s tangible contribution to addressing global climate change through technology. Tron Energy will continue to deepen its global footprint, leading more Taiwanese smart transportation and new energy supply chains to the international market and expanding its global reach.
